We’re seeking a capable and peoplefocused Property Advisor to provide expert advice and manage land and property matters across GVW’s planning, capital delivery and operational activities.

 

In this role, you will be responsible for managing land acquisitions, easements and property transactions, interpreting planning and property legislation, and working collaboratively with internal teams to ensure projects progress smoothly and compliantly. You will also build and maintain strong relationships with landowners, Traditional Owners, government agencies and other external stakeholders, representing GVW with professionalism and integrity.

 

Ideally, you will bring experience in land acquisition, property or planning advisory roles, with welldeveloped negotiation skills and an ability to communicate clearly on complex property matters. Known for your attention to detail and sound judgement, you are comfortable working in a regulated, publicsector environment and value collaboration and ethical decisionmaking.

About your new role...

As a Property Advisor, you will:

Provide professional advice and manage land and property matters that support GVW’s infrastructure planning, capital delivery and operations.

This includes managing land and easement acquisitions, negotiating with landowners and external bodies, interpreting planning and property legislation, and working closely with internal teams to ensure projects are delivered compliantly and efficiently.

You will also play a key role in building trusted relationships with Traditional Owners, government agencies and other stakeholders

You will be joining a fun and supportive multidisciplinary team who are based at the Shepparton Administration Centre in the Fryers Street CBD precinct. Flexible work arrangements are available, where operationally appropriate, in line with GVW policy.

About you...

We're looking for someone with:

  • A relevant qualification in conveyancing, town planning or a related field, or demonstrated experience in land acquisition, property, planning or conveyancing roles, ideally within a regulated or infrastructure environment
  • Sound knowledge of property, planning and land legislation, including experience interpreting titles, easements and zoning controls
  • The ability to negotiate effectively and communicate clearly with landowners, Traditional Owners, government agencies and internal stakeholders
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills, with a high level of professionalism and attention to detail
  • Cultural awareness and the ability to build respectful, trusted relationships across diverse stakeholder groups
  • A collaborative mindset and the ability to manage multiple priorities while working autonomously

  • Classification GVW4: $99,371 - $120,206 + superannuation (starting salary point is negotiable dependent upon relevant, qualifications, skills, and experience demonstrated)
