We are seeking a Customer Service Officer to join our Retail Customers and Billing Department on a fixed term basis to cover parental leave. This a great opportunity to be part of a team that prides itself on delivering an exceptional service experience to our community.

About your new role...

In this fixed term role, you will provide front line support to our customers across billing, tenancy, property and debt services, playing an important part in maintaining customer satisfaction and strong community relationships during the parental leave period.

As the first point of contact for our customers, you will:

  • Respond to enquiries via multiple channels
  • Resolve issues in a timely and professional manner
  • Provide clear information and guidance on water and wastewater services

Based in our busy contact centre at the Administration Centre on Fryers Street in the heart of Shepparton’s CBD hub, you’ll work within a knowledgeable, supportive and collaborative customer service team – an ideal environment to learn contribute and make a meaningful impact during the contract period. 

About you...

We're looking for someone with:

  • Experience in a customer facing or administrative role (minimum 3 years preferred)
  • Certificate 3 or above in Business or similar (or willingness to undertake supported study)
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to meet performance standards in a high volume or transaction processing
  • Knowledge of Customer Service principles and practices
  • Confidence using computer-based systems including Microsoft Office
  • Strong organisational, self-management and problem-solving skills.
  • A positive attitude, empathy and genuine passion for helping others
  • A strong commitment to Occupational Health and Safety (OHS)

  • Classification GVW2: $58,500 - $78,532 + super (salary starting point is dependent upon relevant qualifications, skills, and experience)
