We are seeking an experienced and highly motivated Developer Works Technical Lead to play a pivotal role in shaping the delivery of high-quality water and sewer infrastructure
In this role you will lead the technical review and facilitation of developer provided assets, ensuring all designs and constructed works meet rigorous standards for safety, compliance and long-term operability.
Working closely with the Developer Works Coordinator, you will provide expert engineering guidance across complex feasibility applications and detailed design submissions. You will collaborate with internal teams, councils, consultants and developers to deliver outcomes that support sustainable growth and exceptional customer service.
About your new role...
You will provide expert technical oversight across the full lifecycle of developer led water and sewer infrastructure projects. You will play a critical role in ensuring all applications, designs and constructed assets meet GVW standards, industry codes and operational requirements.
Working collaboratively across internal teams and with external stakeholders you will drive high-quality outcomes, support continuous improvement and contribute to safe, compliant and sustainable infrastructure delivery.
Based at the Shepparton Operations Centre, you will enjoy being part of a collaborative working environment alongside technical and operational staff with the added benefit of hassle-free parking. You also be supported to work flexibly, where possible, in line with GVWs Flexible Working Policy.
About you...
We're looking for someone with:

- Civil Engineering Degree (or equivalent) or extensive industry experience (7+ years)
- Strong technical leadership experience in developer works, land development, construction or the water industry
- Sound knowledge of MRWA standards and WSAA Codes
- Demonstrated experience reviewing complex technical drawings and specifications for accuracy, constructability and operability
- Practical, on the ground experience in the construction or installation of water and sewer assets
- Proven capability to manage stakeholder relationships including councils, developers, consultants and internal teams
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Well-developed computer, administrative and report writing skills, including competence with the Microsoft Office Suite.
- A strong commitment to Occupational Health and Safety
- A positive, collaborative approach and commitment to contributing to team and organisational outcomes.

- Classification GVW4: $102,352 - $123,812 + super (salary starting point is dependent upon relevant qualifications, skills, and experience)
