We are seeking an experienced Engagement Lead to join our Communications and Engagement team. This position plays a pivotal role in strengthening GVW’s connection with customers, community, and stakeholders across our service region.
Reporting to the Manager – Communications and Engagement you will lead the design, planning, and delivery of GVW’s customer, community, and stakeholder engagement program. You will work closely with your team and business units across the organisation to ensure our engagement practices support strategic priorities project delivery, and our commitment to transparency, trust, and collaboration.

About your new role...
You will join a friendly, supportive team where your strengths in leadership and community engagement and communications will shape how we engage with our customers, communities and stakeholders. You will work collaboratively across the organisation ensuring engagement activities align with the organisation’s strategic priorities.
In this leadership role you will:
- Oversee day to day operations of the Engagement team
- Drive impactful engagement initiatives aligned with GVW’s Strategy 2035
- Strengthen relationships with customers, communities, and key stakeholders
- Represent GVW at community and stakeholder events, forums, and meetings
- Foster a collaborative, customer centric and high performing team culture.
This position is based in Shepparton and includes some travel across GVW sites. Flexible work arrangements are available, where operationally appropriate, in line with GVW policy.
About you...
We're looking for someone with:

- Degree or above in communications, public relations, marketing or a related field with extensive experience in a similar engagement leadership role.
- Certificate 4 or above in engagement, leadership and/or management
- Experience in developing and leading high performing teams and embedding and driving service improvements
- Ability to identify and target specific audiences with relevant engagement approaches that meet GVWs needs and lead to positive business outcomes
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, including strong written and presentation capability
- Proven ability to build effective relationships with a diverse range of internal and external stakeholders
- Strong OHS commitment and focus.
- Committed to contributing positively to your team and the organisation.

- Classification SEO1: $125,150 - $145,000+ superannuation (starting salary point is negotiable dependent upon relevant, qualifications, skills, and experience demonstrated)
