Applications are invited for the position of Farm Operator to join our Farming team in a fixed term, full-time capacity.
This role offers an excellent opportunity to become the newest member of our farming operations team based at the Shepparton Wastewater Management Facility.
If you enjoy working outdoors and have a passion for farming, this role allows you to put your skills into practice while supporting our farming operations team. You will also have opportunities to collaborate with the wastewater process team as required.
Qualifications in Agriculture and/or equivalent farm experience help you succeed and your strong commitment to safety will support our focus on maintaining a safe and productive workplace

About your new role...
Goulburn Valley Water (GVW) operates a farming enterprise across multiple locations, delivering sustainable, efficient and profitable commercial farming operations. While GVW’s core business will always be water, our farming activities complement our broader operations and offer a unique learning environment with a small, dedicated team.
In this role based at our Wastewater Management Facility on the outskirts of Shepparton, you will work within the Farming Operations team and support the Central Wastewater Process team when needed. You may also be required to travel across GVW districts from Cobram to Marysville, depending on operational needs.
Your main responsibilities will include irrigation, livestock (animal husbandry), pasture managing, cropping and general farm maintenance.
About you...
We're looking for someone with:
- Minimum Year 11 education
- Cert 3 in Agriculture (or willingness to undertake and complete supported study)
- Physical capability to perform farming and/or wastewater related tasks
- Knowledge of farming operations (advantageous)
- Ability to participate in the teams after hours, weekend on-call rotation as well as seasonal overtime – when required
- Strong OHS commitment and focus
- A positive attitude, willingness to learn and an enjoyment of outdoor work
- Strong teamwork skills

- Classification GVW2: $58,500 - $78,532 + Super (starting point is negotiable dependent upon relevant, qualifications, skills, and experience held)
