We are seeking an experienced and collaborative professional/s to lead the management and optimisation of our field business services within the Service Delivery team. This is a key operational leadership opportunity responsible for developing and managing arrangements under the Service Delivery procurement strategy.

About your new role...

In this pivotal leadership role, you’ll oversee the end‑to‑end management of operational maintenance and supply contracts, procurement arrangements and field competency programs that support the ongoing maintenance and operations of water and wastewater services for our customers and community.

 

You will lead a skilled and collaborative team located across GVW’s operational sites, driving best practice, continuous improvement and the successful delivery of critical field‑based services. As a key contributor to the Service Delivery procurement strategy, you’ll ensure our supplier panels, contracts and operational processes deliver high quality, safe and efficient outcomes.

 

Reporting to the Manager – Operational Support and Integration, this position can be based at our Shepparton or Seymour sites, with travel required across our operational locations.

About you...

We're looking for someone with:

 

  • A degree or above in Business, Science, Engineering or associated discipline or a lesser qualification with a minimum of 7 years relevant experience
  • Diploma in Management or Leadership (desirable)
  • Certificate III or above in Water Industry Operations (desirable)
  • Proven ability to lead and motivate a team to achieve high performance and accountability
  • Strong background in planning and scheduling within water or wastewater or related field
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement skills
  • Strong analytical and problem‑solving capabilities
  • Proficiency in asset management and work planning systems
  • Strong OHS commitment and focus
  • Australian citizenship, permanent residency or a visa that permits you to work in Australia, and a current driver’s licence

  • Classification SEO1: $115,173 - $135,423 + superannuation – job share would be pro rata equivalent (starting salary point is negotiable dependent upon relevant, qualifications, skills, and experience demonstrated)
  • This position is offered full time (1.0 FTE). Part‑time arrangements are available only through an approved Job Share structure.
