About the Company
Goulburn Valley Water (GVW) provides quality water and wastewater services to 54 towns in North Central Victoria. Our core purpose is to deliver safe, reliable, and affordable water services to residential, commercial and industrial customers.
Play a critical role maintaining, operating and monitoring wastewater infrastructure in accordance with established procedures and regulatory compliance.
Based in Seymour, you will assist with the maintenance of water and sewer infrastructure as required.
Competent in a range of plant and mechanical operations, in addition, your computer literacy will assist with operational administration requirements.
Known for being solutions focussed, possessing effective communication skills and your commitment to meeting operational and OHS standards will ensure your success in this hands-on role.
We develop and train our water industry operatives and will support you to achieve many things including a water industry qualification that will assist you to undertake the role.
About your new role...
Based in Seymour in the Southern region of GVWs service area footprint, you will be responsible for providing assistance in operating a number of key Wastewater Management Facilities and Wastewater systems.

About you...
To be considered for this role you must have demonstrated some of the following:
- Minimum Year 11 education or appropriate trade qualification
- Cert 3 Water Industry Operations – Wastewater Treatment (or willingness to complete)
- Physically capable of undertaking tasks concerned with the operation and maintenance of wastewater treatment plants.
- Able to carry out necessary basic math calculations and interpret results.
- A basic understanding of hydraulics and mechanical plant
- Ability to become proficient in the application of laboratory procedures and practices.
- Experience working as part of a on call/duty roster.
- Strong OHS focus, commitment, and application.
- Committed to contributing positively to your team and the organisation.
- Ability to work effectively, or learn quickly, with computer-based technology.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Strong organisational, self-management and problem-solving skills
- Adaptable, hands on and enjoy working outdoors and in all elements.

- Classification GVW2: $55,142 - $74,025 + super (starting point is dependent upon relevant, qualifications, skills and experience)
