Goulburn Valley Water (GVW) provides quality water and wastewater services to 54 towns in North Central Victoria. Our core purpose is to deliver safe, reliable, and affordable water services to residential, commercial and industrial customers.
We are seeking a passionate and skilled Diversity and Inclusion practitioner to support the continuation and advancement of our diversity, equity and inclusion (DEI) priorities in a fixed term role.
This role plays a key part in embedding inclusive practices across the organisation and delivering impactful initiatives that contribute to a positive and respectful workplace culture.

About your new role...
Reporting to the Manager – HR Operations you will be joining a fun, collaborative and supportive HR team, based at the Shepparton Administration Centre in the Fryers Street CBD precinct and connecting with colleagues across the GVW footprint.
You will coordinate the planning, delivery and monitoring of DEI initiatives including compliance with the Gender Equality Act and delivery of the Gender Equality Action Plan. A primary focus for this fixed term position will be achieving reporting requirements aligned to the Gender Equality Act and delivering initiatives from the final year of the GVW Gender Equality Action Plan.
With demonstrated experience supporting or leading DEI programs, you will provide coaching and support to leaders and employees to promote understanding of diversity principles and contribute to building an inclusive workplace.
Generalist HR knowledge enables you to support the HR team in general administration and team projects as needed.
You will be afforded the ability to work flexibly, in line with GVW’s flexible working policy and be part of an organisation that values people culture and safety at its core.

About you...
To be considered for this role you must have demonstrated some of the following:

- Certificate 4 or above in Human Resources, Business or Psychology
- Certificate 4 or above in Project Management (preferred, not essential)
- Appreciation of the Human Resources lifecycle
- Understanding of emerging trends in diversity and inclusion
- Familiarity with legislation related to equality, diversity and inclusion.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to work collaboratively across all levels of the organisation and with community stakeholders.
- Strong data analysis, reporting and administrative skills, with the ability to manage projects and meet deadlines.
- Strong OHS commitment and focus.
- Committed to contributing positively to your team and the organisation.

- Classification GVW3: $75,536 - $92,155 + superannuation (starting salary point is negotiable dependent upon relevant, qualifications, skills, and experience demonstrated)
- Option to negotiate between 0.8 - 1.0 FTE, Fixed Term (end date 26 June 2026) position with the opportunity to discuss flexible working options.
