We’re looking for a proactive and customer-focused IT Service Desk Officer to join our Digital Operations Team. This is an exciting opportunity to be the first point of contact for IT support across the organisation, playing a key role in ensuring seamless technology experiences for all employees.

About your new role...

Reporting to the Manager – Digital Operations, you will provide first level technical support to employees across the Corporation. You’ll be the friendly face (and voice) of IT – resolving issues, managing requests and ensuring our systems and devices run smoothly.

 

This is a hands-on and varied role where you’ll be responsible for:

 

  • Providing first level IT Support, troubleshooting issues and escalating where required
  • Managing service desk requests and incidents, ensuring timely resolution and communication
  • Supporting the rollout and maintenance of the Standard Operating Environment (SOE)
  • Maintaining Active Directory, including user accounts and device updates
  • Coordinating IT administration tasks, including purchasing, telecommunications billing and documentation
  • Managing and tracking IT equipment assets such as laptops, monitors, printers and mobile devices
  • Contributing to a secure, safe and compliant IT environment, including data security and workplace safety

 

You’ll also have the opportunity to contribute to special project and continuous improvement initiatives within the IT function.
 

You will be joining a supportive and collaborative Digital Operations team who are based at the Shepparton Administration Centre in the Fryers Street CBD precinct. This position includes some travel across GVW sites. Flexible work arrangements are available, where operationally appropriate, in line with GVW policy. 

About you...

We're looking for someone with:

    • Certificate 3 or above in Information or equivalent (preferred)
    • Experience providing first level help desk support across Windows and Apple environments
    • A solid understanding of information and digital technology systems
    • Strong communication skills, both written and verbal
    • Good organisation skill with the ability to manage competing priorities
    • Experience in general administration and attention to details
    • Strong Occupational Health and Safety commitment and focus

  • Classification GVW2: $60,255 - $80,888 + super (salary starting point is dependent upon relevant qualifications, skills and experience)
