About the Company

Goulburn Valley Water (GVW) provides quality water and wastewater services to 54 towns in North Central Victoria. Our purpose is to support healthy and prosperous communities.

The role of the Committee is to assist GVW in the discharge of its responsibilities in regard to:

  • Strategic Oversight and Monitoring
  • Risk Management and Reporting
  • Financial Performance and Reporting
  • Audit and Assurance
  • Digital Transformation Program

 

The role of the independent member is to bring independent expertise to the committee to provide additional oversight to the committee.

 

As a minimum, you must:

  • Be able to attend up to five (5) committee meetings each year during business hours
  • Be independent of Goulburn Valley Water
  • Demonstrate relevant financial expertise in either the public or private sector
  • Be a practicing or recently retired Chartered Accountant (CA) or Certified Practicing Accountant (CPA), or equivalent; and
  • Have relevant public or private sector experience in accounting, finance, audit, risk, strategy or technology
