We’re seeking a motivated and customerfocused team member to support GVW’s inventory and stores operations. In this role, you will help ensure critical materials, equipment and spare parts are available where and when they are needed, directly supporting the continuity of our Service Delivery teams.
 

We’re looking for someone who is highly organised, confident managing multiple priorities and comfortable using and learning digital systems. With strong practical capability and attention to detail, you’ll be highly committed to delivering high quality service to internal stakeholders. Relevant qualifications are highly regarded, as is your ability to provide hands on support across our stores function.

About your new role...

In this key position, you will play an active role in coordinating GVW’s inventory and stores operations. Your experience in stock management and strong attention to detail will support accurate inventory records, efficient movement of materials smooth day to day stores activities.
 

Working closely with our Service Delivery teams and other internal stakeholders, you’ll ensure they have timely access to the materials, equipment and information needed to perform their work safely and efficiently. Your foundation in inventory or warehouse practices - along with organisational skills and confidence using established systems - will allow you to respond promptly to operational needs.
 

This role offers the opportunity to further develop your knowledge in procurement, supply chain coordination and systembased inventory management. It suits someone who is proactive, wellorganised and committed to delivering professional, reliable and customerfocused support.
 

Based at the GVW Shepparton Operations Centre, the position includes travel to regional depots to maintain critical spare inventories, with a team pool vehicle accessible. Flexible work arrangements are available, where operationally appropriate, in line with GVW policy.

About you...

We're looking for someone with...

 

  • Certificate III or above in Business Administration, Procurement, Supply Chain/Warehousing or equivalent
  • Forklift licence, or willing to obtain
  • Experience coordinating inventory, stock rotation and warehouse activities across multiple GVW sites.
  • Confident using ERP systems (such as Microsoft Dynamics 365) to manage stock, reporting and workflows.
  • Understanding of demand forecasting, stock optimisation and safe storage practices within depot and warehouse environments.
  • Ability to build strong supplier relationships and support compliant procurement activities.
  • Well-developed communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively with a wide range of stakeholders.
  • Strong organisation, problemsolving skills and attention to detail.
  • A commitment to continuous improvement and supporting efficient service delivery.
  • A positive, teamfocused approach with a strong focus on safety and delivering great customer outcomes for the GVW community.

  • Classification GVW3: $80,137 - $97,767 + superannuation (starting salary point is negotiable dependent upon relevant, qualifications, skills, and experience demonstrated)
