A wonderful opportunity for an experienced payroll professional to join the Human Resource team in a fixed term leave coverage role.
With current experience gleaned in a medium sized business environment you are a confident payroll officer, who will be responsible for ensuring the accurate and timely processing of the Corporation’s complete payroll process using MYOB Payglobal. You will have a high attention to detail, strong numerical acumen and be a self-starter, managing the priorities and deadlines of your functions.
Known as a team player, you are customer focused with a proactive and adaptable approach to problem solving, with the ability to interpret and apply enterprise agreement information and legislative requirements, and a commitment to maintaining a high level of confidentiality.

About your new role...
Responsible for providing payroll services across the business, you will process fortnightly and ad hoc pays, month end and year end reconciliations, maintain compliance with legislative requirements including Superannuation and Workcover. You will support employees with payroll related inquiries, maintain payroll records, generate payroll reports and support the team in human resource functions.
This is an attractive role for someone who has a proven track record of managing payroll services accurately and efficiently. A strong understanding of payroll systems, and compliance requirements combined with a passion for ensuring payroll runs smoothly and employees feeling supported will ensure your success in this role.
You will be joining a fun and supportive multidisciplinary team who are based at the Shepparton Administration Centre in the Fryers Street CBD precinct. You will be afforded the ability to work flexibly, in line with GVW’s flexible working policy.

• Certificate III or above in Business, Accounts Administration including process payroll module or Payroll Management Certificate
• Proficiency with payroll software (e.g. Pay global), HCM systems and Microsoft Excel
• Strong understanding of payroll legislation, tax requirements and employment awards.
• Meticulous attention to detail and accuracy in data entry and calculations
• Ability to investigate and resolve payroll issues.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, including written and presentation skills.
• Demonstrated ability to handle sensitive employee data with discretion and confidentiality.
• Strong organisational skills and the ability to meet strict deadlines.
• Highly capable in liaising with a range of stakeholders, both internal and external
• Strong OHS commitment and focus.
• Committed to contributing positively to your team and the organisation.

- Classification GVW3: $75,536 - $92,155 plus superannuation (starting salary point is negotiable dependent upon relevant qualifications, skills, and experience demonstrated)
• This is a fixed term (approx 12 months) Full-Time position with the opportunity to discuss flexible working options, for the right applicant consideration of 0.8FTE may be given.
