About your new role...
As our Process Control Engineer, you will provide specialist engineering expertise across GVW’s Operational Technology (OT) environment, supporting the systems that underpin our treatment plants, networks and operational facilities.
Working across operational, engineering and digital teams, you’ll act as the technical authority for process control engineering, ensuring systems are safe, reliable and fit for purpose. You’ll lead governance and change management practices, support capital projects, champion cybersecurity compliance and drive continuous improvement across GVW’s OT environment.
This position is based in Shepparton and may require some travel across GVW’s service region including Shepparton/Seymour/Alexandra/Cobram. Flexible work arrangements are available, where operationally appropriate, in line with GVW policy.
About you...
We're looking for someone with:

- Certificate IV or higher qualification in Engineering or Science with a focus on process control or control systems (e.g. Electrical Engineering/Mechatronics Engineering, or a lesser qualification supported by a minimum of 7 years relatable experience
- Demonstrated experience in process control engineering, industrial automation or Operational Technology environments
- Experience applying Management of Change (MoC) and configuration management practices
- Strong understanding of control systems, operational risk management and engineering governance
- Proven commitment to workplace safety and safe system design
- Highly developed problem-solving, communication and stakeholder engagement skills
- Ability to manage competing priorities and work across multidisciplinary teams

- Classification GVW4: $102,352 - $123,812 + superannuation (starting salary point is negotiable dependent upon relevant qualifications, skills and experience demonstrated).
- Full-time position with flexibility available (minimum 0.8 - 1.0 FTE)
- 12 Rostered Days Off (RDO’s) per year
