Are you an experienced procurement professional keen to join an essential service organisation?
As the Procurement Coordinator you will lead the procurement and contract management activities across the organisation, while empowering a cross functional team to succeed in their roles.
You are proven leader, passionate about coaching and developing your team members. A natural communication style allows you to guide and influence a diverse group of stakeholders and drive a culture of continuous improvement.
As a procurement professional with relevant tertiary qualifications, you are comfortable with your knowledge about Victorian Government principles and practices, that will ultimately ensure you success in this role.
About your new role...
The Procurement Coordinator plays a key role in supporting the organisation to efficiently and effectively meet its purchasing needs and contribute to the achievement of its strategic objectives. Through the development of strong, contemporary frameworks, the Procurement Coordinator ensures compliance with regulations and organisational policies while building internal capacity to meet organisational needs.
With the ability to work collaboratively and provide procurement guidance to internal stakeholders, you will play a key role in supporting the organisation in acquiring goods and services critical to delivering essential services across GVWs service area.
Based at the Shepparton Operations Centre where you will enjoy being part of a working environment amongst technical and operational staff with the bonus of hassle-free parking! You will be afforded the ability to work flexibly, in line with GVW’s flexible working policy.
About you...
To be considered for this role you must have demonstrated some of the following:
- Degree or above in Business or associated discipline
- Completion of a recognised leadership program and experience managing and leading a cross functional team
- Experience in procurement, fleet management, supply chain management and contract management
- Knowledge of procurement policies, procedures and relevant regulations.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, including negotiation and written skills to manage supplier relationships effectively
- Highly capable in liaising with a range of stakeholders, both internal and external
- Strong OHS commitment and focus.
- Committed to contributing positively to your team and the organisation.

- Classification SEO1: $118,538 - $137,627 (no vehicle) + superannuation (starting salary point is negotiable dependent upon relevant, qualifications, skills, and experience demonstrated)
