Goulburn Valley Water (GVW) provides quality water and wastewater services to 54 towns in North Central Victoria. Our purpose is to support healthy and prosperous communities.

 

We are seeking an experienced Strategic Campaign and Communications Officer to join our Communications and Engagement team. This position plays a key part in supporting the delivery of strategic communications and leading campaigns that build customer understanding, support behaviour change and deliver GVW priorities.

 

You are a confident communicator who enjoys translating complex information into audience focussed messaging and can bring a mix of strategic thinking, creativity and collaboration.

About your new role...

Working closely with the Communications and Engagement team, you’ll develop compelling campaigns and content that informs and engages customers and communities and strengthens trust in GVW.

This role plays a key part in shaping how we connect with customers and communities through:

  • leading planning and delivery of strategic campaigns to strengthen customer and community understanding and engagement
  • Creating and managing communication content for GVW priority, programs and initiatives
  • Supporting delivery of high quality external and internal communications

 

This position is based in Shepparton and includes some travel across GVW sites. Flexible work arrangements are available, where operationally appropriate, in line with GVW policy.   

About you...

We're looking for someone with:

 

    • Diploma or above in communications, public relations, marketing, education or similar field or a lessor qualification with 5 years relatable experience
    • IAP2 experience (preferred)
    • Experience planning and delivering strategic communication or behaviour change campaigns
    • Ability to develop clear, engaging and audience focussed communication content
    • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, including strong written and presentation capability
    • Proven ability to build effective relationships with a diverse range of internal and external stakeholders
    • Strong focus and commitment to Occupational Health and Safety
    • Committed to contributing positively to your team and the organisation.

  • Classification GVW3: $80,137 - $97,767+ superannuation (starting salary point is negotiable dependent upon relevant, qualifications, skills, and experience demonstrated)
