Goulburn Valley Water (GVW) provides quality water and wastewater services to 54 towns in North Central Victoria. Our purpose is to support healthy and prosperous communities.
We are seeking an experienced and motivated Telemetry and Remote Communication Coordinator to join our Operations Control and Maintenance (OCM) team. This is a key leadership role responsible for overseeing GVW’s telemetry systems, SCADA connectivity and remote communication networks across operational sites.
You will lead a field-based team and play a critical role in ensuring our Operational Technology (OT) systems are reliable secure and optimised to support real time operational visibility and control.

About your new role...
In this dynamic field-based leadership role you will oversee the delivery, performance and continuous improvement of GVW’s telemetry, SCADA and remote communications systems while leading a high performing team.
In this leadership role you will:
- Lead, coach and develop a team of field technicians fostering a strong safety first and customer focused culture
- Manage the delivery and optimisation of telemetry and communications works, including workload planning, incidents and contractor performance
- Act as the SCADA and OT subject matter expert, ensuring reliable system configuration, performance and continuous improvement
- Drive safety, risk management and compliance, including standards, SWMS and cybersecurity requirements
- Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to support operations, projects and regulatory obligations
This position is based in Shepparton and includes some travel across GVW sites. Flexible work arrangements are available, where operationally appropriate, in line with GVW policy.
About you...
We're looking for someone with:

- Degree or above in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering or a lesser relevant qualification with a minimum 7 years relatable experience
- Diploma or above in Management or Leadership or a lesser relevant qualification with a minimum 7 year’s experience managing a team in an OT environment
- Experience in telemetry, remote communications or SCADA connectivity within an OT or industrial environment
- Experience supporting field operations and incident response
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, including strong written and presentation capability
- Proven ability to build effective relationships with a diverse range of internal and external stakeholders
- Strong focus on Occupational Health and Safety
- Committed to contributing positively to your team and the organisation.
